IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer. An IT solutions provider based in Chippenham are looking for an IT Support Engineer. The IT Support Engineer will work in a lovely rural setting with excellent facilities, such as a Gym and shower room, a 60” TV with a Nintendo Switch, pool and foosball tables, music jam room and a large garden complete with a BBQ.  Due to their location, your own transport is essential and they have plenty of car parking. The IT Support Engineer will be working in an innovative and inclusive team supporting internal systems as well as company products and services that help improve healthcare workers’ ability to deliver a great patient service.

The IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will be involved in the company’s push towards a cloud centric model introducing new projects to migrate our services from on premise to cloud. To help them achieve successful migration we need a dynamic and experienced IT engineer who has a broad foundation of IT knowledge, and is driven by learning new skills, technologies and evolving their approach to work.

The IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will need to be capable of keeping their systems, people and customers running to their usual high standard, whilst helping to implement their successful migration to cloud services. Once they have fully migrated everyone, the IT Engineer will be responsible for keeping the services running, and expanding the platforms as they scale to meet the demands of their growing team and customer base, along with keeping their on premise infrastructure operational.

The IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will need:

  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, ATP, Firewalls, security devices, switch/device management and configuration
  • Active Directory: deployment, configuration and management of multiple domains, trusts, GPOs, WSUS etc.
  • Microsoft Exchange: deployment, configuration and maintenance in a clustered setting
  • Microsoft SharePoint/IIS: deployment, configuration and maintenance
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 upwards: deployment, configuration and maintenance
  • Database / SQL: Management

The IT Support Engineer / Technical Support Engineer will work a 37.5 hour week, salary up to £28k, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits. The company also offer all tech employees with access to an Enterprise Pluralsight subscription, to enable you to continue to develop your skills, and will support you towards relevant tech certifications.
